Just as an additional comment. I wrote to the owner of retweet bomb (name=Danny whitehouse). I mentioned that it seemed hypocritical of him to accuse me of spamming with an affiliate link when it was untrue -- and to simultaneously spam my account with numerous links to a bunch of shameless sales pages -- when I'd only sent "one" -- non-commercial tweet through his program -- that held no monetary benefit for me.

His response was to quote the BBC: "If you don't like it -- switch off".

Now that is an interesting comment. Very true on the one hand. However there is more to it.

When we trust a software developer -- even to use the unpaid version of their software -- we are trusting them with our personal account and the effect they can have on it.

With over 35 years in business I have learned that when business people with an attitude towards people like he has exhibited -- the best thing you can do is stay clear and warn others.

Social networks are for expanding our horizons and for protecting each others interests to whatever degree we can -- especially when software developers demonstrate that they don't care in the least about their user base.

Tony thanks for your encouraging comment. I have immensely enjoyed manually viewing the people and photos I have selected to follow and to hopefully obtain some followers from.

Also I have learned quite a bit about how twitter works that people with automation tools would miss.

thanks for your comments. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you and approving. I was traveling and did not have the password to this blog with me.
